In the mountains...Sacred Valley...On Salkantay...I cleansed, I sat with how I want to live, and experienced deep deep munay and connection.
In the Amazon, I died. And took a new first breath...
And now...as I head to my geographical home back to family and friends, I am reborn to continue to create my life. So much munay and gratitude~

A day in Pisaq...

What a wonderful day today...John and I took the day to ourselves enjoying a leisurely breakfast, walk to town with the Andes all around us holding us so sweetly, shopping, and relaxing. Nice break. Tomorrow, we head to The salt flats for a day of hiking and ceremony ending with relocation to Cusco as we move toward the mountain on Saturday. We both really needed to ground today. Thorny Bum...

Hola! So hiking to Pumamarcha, I needed to perfect being one with patchamama while taking care of bodily functions before heading to Salkantay. Hopefully there will be less thorny bushes on the apu! Those thorns took a while to pluck off! Lol!!!
Great hike to Pumamarcha! Lots of animals along the way up and down...mules, horses, sheep, goats. Much Love!

special note to john~ i am so excited we're doing this together. we're doing this! we're doing this! it was just about two years ago that you called me and said "check out this site- thefourwinds. there's a trip to south america, this is you". that was marcela's women's journey which i will take when it's time- i'm so glad we're doing this now. thank you from my heart for your deep love and support and for accepting me for who i am. i love dreaming our worlds into being together~ so looking forward to playing in peru! so much love, chris

It is truly my honor...

to write and share this trip with you. it is a trip to south america, a continent that i am ecstatic about experiencing- i am so looking forward to my bare feet feeling the ground on the mountain, in the sacred valley and in the jungle! i plan to post daily with photos while in lima, and the sacred valley in cusco and then pisac. i will journal while camping on the mountain (four nights) and will make entries here upon my return down from the mountain and will write as is possible while in the jungle. if a few days pass with no entries, embrace the energy of the places i'm immersed in. much love~ chris

yes, the mountains are calling...i think of the call to india as i prep for this journey to peru. this journey as that to india is so powerful and so full of light. so much love and so much service. so much emotion. so much support. so much excitement. so much gratitude so much gratitude so much gratitude.

i'm packing, the zip-off pants and my winter down jacket, hiking boots, my day pack, my sketch books and pencils, my journal, my snacks, my kalamata olives! and olive oil, the school and art supplies for the peruvian children...ah the children, the children are calling too. and the animals in the jungle, yes. they're calling loudly.

the laika are calling and i am hearing their call as well. and the sun and the moon, intititi and mama kia and of course pachamama.  thank you thank you thank you.
